On the 21st of October, Dr. Mary Papaschinopoulou, Founding Partner and Director of MARDIPLO SA, had the honor of meeting H.E. Mrs. Zaina Benhabouche, the newly appointed Ambassador of Algeria to the Hellenic Republic, at the distinguished premises of the Algerian Embassy in Athens.
Algeria is a nation with a vast maritime heritage, strategically located along crucial trade routes, making its ports a vital part of the country’s economic development. The meeting delved into the diplomatic and economic ties between Algeria and Greece, particularly within the maritime sector, exploring opportunities to enhance cooperation and to explore business development opportunities.
The discussion centered on MaritimeCorporateDiplomacy, MARDIPLO’s area of expertise, which serves as an innovative tool for resolving protracted maritime disputes.
MARDIPLO’s latest academic initiative, our “Blue Corporate Diplomacy Training Programme”, was also highlighted, a great opportunity for future diplomats to learn how to represent their countries’ economic interests on the global maritime scene.
We are pleased to have had such a meaningful exchange with H.E. Mrs. Zaina Benhabouche and look forward to furthering our collaboration with the Embassy. We also extend our best wishes to Her Excellency for a successful and impactful tenure in Greece.
