On April 8th, Dr. Mary Papaschinopoulou was honored to have a courtesy meeting with H.E. Mr. Ali Khalfan Al-Mansouri, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar, at the esteemed premises of the Embassy in Athens.
Qatar has firmly established itself as a major player in the global trade arena, emerging as a premier maritime destination To facilitate its trade activities, Qatar has invested in the development of world-class ports and terminals strategically positioned along its coastline, thus opening new trade routes and diversifying its supply sources.
Furthermore, H.E. Mr. Al-Mansouri and Dr. Mary Papaschinopoulou discussed blue corporate diplomacy—an innovative tool to resolve complex and protracted disputes in the maritime sector. Recognizing its potential, they explored the possibility of integrating this modern tool into the training of diplomats and policy makers. MARDIPLO provides a ‘’tailored Blue Corporate Diplomacy training program’’ that seeks to equip with the essential skills needed to adeptly address the challenges of Blue Economy.
