MEETING WITH H.E. MR AAMAR AFTAB QURESHI, AMBASSADOR OF THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN

It was a real honour and privilege to have a long and productive meeting with H.E. Mr Aamar Aftab Qureshi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on 29th August.
Our discussions covered various aspects of shipping, the shipbreaking industry, education and training of seafarers. A particular focus was on the exciting opportunities that have arisen following the recent acquisition of the Port of Karachi by the UAE Government. This has undoubtedly opened up new business opportunities.
We have also explored avenues for potential cooperation between MARDIPLO and the Embassy, particularly in the fields of dispute resolution and education related to Blue Diplomacy.
Finally, it was a pleasure to connect with Mr Ahsan Nabeel, the new Deputy Chief of Mission. We wish him well as he embarks on this new chapter in his career.
